It was a beautiful summer day in Sioux City Iowa. I was 8 years old. I said In a loud almost yelling voice: “hey mom there’s nothing to do” my mother responded: “son your bed needs making, the lawn needs mowing, and the trash needs carrying out.” From that moment on I have never looked to another for something to do. I am the one who has come up with things for me to do. And I have not been bored since that day. I have myriad things to entertain myself. It is a skill and anyone can learn it, anyone can get better at it.
