Keeping the brain and body functioning well
The Power of Playful Engagement
Research indicates that continued engagement in challenging mental activities keeps the brain performing well. My path is to be constantly learning new complex physical things – many would regard what I do as playing; at age 72 I was learning to fly an airplane and juggle clubs. For me flying an airplane is significantly easier than juggling clubs.
The Benefits of a Playful Lifestyle
The things I practice have yielded improvements in my balance, stability, coordination, and memory. My creativity has been stimulated. "The essence of creativity is not the possession of some special talent, it is much more the ability to play." - John Cleese
I get younger every year, and I attribute this to keeping both sides of my brain challenged – physical activities that stimulate mental growth. You can do the same! Check out our video program at shop.neverleavetheplayground.com for a wealth of playful exercises to keep your mind sharp.
The Playground Doesn't Care About Age
It doesn’t matter if you're 72 or 25, the playground welcomes you with open arms – and challenges. Challenge both sides of your brain – every single day. Never leave the playground!
