I get younger every year, and I'm living proof that you can stay agile and coordinated well into your golden years. At my studio, I've created a series of playful challenges to help train your feet for quick and accurate placement.
Walk on the Rocks – A Balance Builder
One of my favorite training tools is a series of small boulders that I walk on at my studio. Sometimes they're close together, and other times they're far enough apart that I have to jump between them. This helps build balance and agility, and it's a great way to keep your feet nimble.
Train Your Feet for Any Situation
As you can see in the videos, I often do this barefooted or with sandals/sneakers. But what really challenges my coordination is navigating through cluttered spaces – like rooms at my studio filled with obstacles that require me to step over and around things carefully. And yes, sometimes I'm barefooted too! This helps train my feet for accurate placement in any situation.
